Today we have once again received an offer to brand (apply the Daki.Market logo) our new product. Naturally, we received a sharp refusal. And now I want to explain to customers and employees once and for all why we:
- we don't do tags on blankets and pillows
- do not put a logo on the back of cards, magnets or albums
- don't print it in the corner of a poster or canvas.
Our product is essentially a handmade gift, in the creation of which the most important role is played by the client who uploads photos. And the service takes care of the rest of the "dirty" work. But the initial idea of what the gift will be and the layout of the photos belongs to the client.
A logo on a gift kills its exclusivity. After all, when a grandmother knits mittens for her grandson, she doesn't put her trademark on them. Do they warm worse from this? Or maybe they are not as expensive as gloves with three white stripes?
And I would not be offended or upset at all if a client at the moment of presenting a gift said: "Look what a cool photo plaid I made for you". Because it's true - it wouldn't have been possible without his participation.
